ONE GIFT OPENS THE DOOR OF OPPORTUNITY

The BBBS Annual Campaign is a critical component to our sustainability and growth.  We are fortunate to have wonderful supporters who investment in our mission and help use maintain a strong, safe, and vibrant program that changes the trajectory of hundreds of children and young adults.  Our organization is a community, grass roots organization that relies significantly on individual donations in addition to our wonderful community events. 

This year, we are fortunate to have a wonderful family that have issued a challenge grant to help us achieve our individual giving goal of $100,000.  The Malik and K Khaliq family have been supporters of BBBS for many years and felt compelled to make a $10,000 challenge grant to inspire new and increased individual gifts to help us achieve our goal.  We thank the Khaliq family for this wonderful gift and hope their story inspires you to make a meaningful investment in the potential of youth in our community.

• Why is giving back important to your family? We believe in making a positive impact on others' lives and creating a ripple effect of kindness and support. We are fortunate in many ways, and we feel a responsibility to help others achieve their fullest potential and contribute to the community.
• What are the driving factors to your giving? What do you look for in an organization or cause? The driving factors behind our giving are a deep belief in empowerment, mentorship, and creating opportunities for those who might not have access to them otherwise. We look for organizations that have a proven track record of making a real difference in people’s lives, that are transparent, and that align with our values of youth development, inclusion, and long-term impact.
• Why have you chosen BBBS to receive this incredibly generous gift? We have chosen Big Brothers Big Sisters because of the incredible work they do in pairing young people with caring mentors who can help guide them toward a brighter future. The lasting relationships formed through BBBS have proven to create positive change in the lives of youth, and we are honored to support an organization that is dedicated to fostering personal growth, confidence, and opportunities for success.
• What do you hope to accomplish by making this lead gift? By making this gift, we hope to inspire others to join us in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters, helping to expand their reach and impact even further. Our goal is to contribute to the development of more meaningful mentorship programs that can change the course of young people’s lives and build a stronger, more connected community.
• What message do you want to share with our network as to why they should get involved? We encourage everyone to get involved because the impact of mentorship is immeasurable.
